Request data deletion

How to delete data NeuronIdle holds about you. Last updated: June 5, 2026.

NeuronIdle does not require an account — your in-game progress is stored locally on your device. We hold user-linked data on our servers only if you opted into specific features.

What data we hold

  • Anonymous gameplay events (screen views, gameplay milestones) — stored in PostHog (EU), linked to a random anonymous ID generated on first launch. Only present if you accepted analytics consent on first launch or enabled it in Settings → Analytics.
  • Leaderboard entry (your chosen nickname, best brain sale, and the model + quality context for that sale) — stored in Supabase (EU), linked to the same anonymous ID plus your chosen nickname. Only present if you enabled Leaderboard visibility in Settings.

The anonymous ID is generated locally on your device and is not linked to your name, email, Google account, device serial, or any other personal identifier.

How to request deletion

Email: [email protected]
Subject: Data deletion request

For leaderboard removal — include your leaderboard nickname (the one shown in Settings, e.g. Theo). We will find and remove the matching row.

For analytics events — because events are intentionally not tied to your real identity, full targeted deletion is limited by design. Two practical options:

  • Clear app data via Android Settings → Apps → NeuronIdle → Storage → Clear data. This wipes the on-device anonymous identifier immediately, and no further events will be sent.
  • Wait for auto-expiry — analytics events delete automatically after 12 months from collection.

We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What is NOT controlled by us

  • Google Play Games cloud save (if you signed in to Play Games) — managed by Google; delete via your Google account settings.
  • Google Play Billing purchase records — retained by Google per legal and tax requirements (typically 10 years). We have no copy.

Retention without a request

  • Analytics events auto-expire after 12 months from collection.
  • Leaderboard rows persist indefinitely (eternal best-of records). Turning Leaderboard visibility OFF stops new submissions, but the existing row remains until you request deletion.
