v1.5.4 — NeuronNews

A living news feed lands in the Market — industry pulses, market trends, world beats, opt-in leaderboard callouts, gentle tips, and out-of-universe system announcements, all delivered without an app update. Plus rotating weekly leaderboard rewards, a change to how sectors unlock, and small polish.

v1.5.4 opens the world. The headline is NeuronNews — a live news feed inside the Market that talks about what’s happening across the industry, delivered from a remote feed without needing an app update. Everything else in the release is smaller: rotating weekly leaderboard rewards, a change to how sectors unlock, a couple of Market card reorderings, and translation catch-up.

📰 NeuronNews — a live news feed inside the Market

NeuronNews Panel reader — an octagonal green-neon frame with the NNP branding, category chips (ALL, MARKET, LEADERBOARD…), and a single news article rendered as a full-plate reader. Meta strip shows the date, category, and source outlet. Pagination at the bottom.

NeuronNews (or NNP on the wire — NeuronNews Panel) is a new section inside the Market screen. It pulls stories from a remote feed on the web side, so new content lands without you needing to update the app. Every trip into the Market checks the feed quietly in the background; a small “N new” badge appears when there’s something waiting.

  • Six categories, each with its own colour: Market (red, price/economy pulses), Leaderboard (purple, opt-in named callouts), World (blue, lore and industry beats), Tip (green, gentle gameplay nudges), Event (orange, time-boxed happenings), System (cyan, out-of-universe game announcements).
  • One article per plate, listable. The NNP reader shows one story at a time — arrows or swipes take you to the next one. Filter by category from the chip bar at the top. Pinned items float to the front regardless of date.
  • Pull-to-refresh on the NNP screen for an on-demand fetch. Otherwise fetches are lazy and cache-first — no cold-start slowdown, no background polling.
  • Works offline — the last-fetched feed stays cached, with a small “last updated Nh ago” indicator when you’re disconnected.
  • Long pieces link to the web. If an article overflows the card, a “Read on web ↗” link opens the full version on the site. Card is the teaser; the site is the archive.

🔧 Minor fixes & sector unlock change

  • Weekly leaderboard rewards now rotate. Each week cycles between a Cu pool — a share of the bracket’s own black-market flow, split across top ranks and scaling with participant count and tier — a Black Market voucher, and a GPU rental. Two structural fixes underneath: the board is always open even with a single participant, and rankings count per bracket instead of against a global tally.
  • Sector unlocking is now a gentle ramp. After the tutorial, you start with one sector unlocked — no more overwhelming vendor board from day one. Your first unlock token drops after your third sale, the second after your tenth, and from there the pace slows into the long game: further tokens arrive either from leveling a sector or from upgrading your hardware. The Market opens up as your operation grows into it, not before.
  • Market card order — Black Market now sits above NeuronNews on the Market screen. NN is a read-the-world tab; BM is a shop-the-catalogue tab. The one you visit more often gets the higher slot.
  • CS / ES / PT translation catch-up for the NN interface chrome — offline banners, empty states, the “Read on web” affordance. Individual news items stay English across all locales (the web archive is English-only).
